Renewing US Passport for Kids

It is really easy to renew a US passport for a kid. All you have to do is take the following things to your nearest post office.

1. DS-11 form - Fill it
2. One passport photo
3. Your checkbook (cash will work as well) for making the fee payments
4. Driver's license or passport

Both the parents will need to appear in person (along with the kid) and they both will need to show their IDs.

It generally takes 4-6 weeks to get a new passport. The passport can be expedited for 2-3 week delivery time with additional fee.
