Hi there,We would also be relocating to Beaverton shortly & would love to have some inputs on following :1)Best apartments/complexes to look for basis best elementary school around. Priority is defintely school (I understand the best schools in Beaverton are beathany elementary school, oak hills elemenatary school or Scholls Height)2) Do we have lot of Indians living in & around recommended complexes. I understand South Parc, Sir Charles Court could be good choice if we wish to select schools at Bethany esp bethany elementary or Oak Hills. It would be nice to receive your valuable input.ThanksAnji

Last week I drove to that area and checked out the Bethany creek falls community, Beaverton neighborhoods. Thanks for your inputs/insights Ishan, Durga.

No drawbacks. In Portland, climate is similar to Banglore, Karnataka if you have lived there. I am loving Portland more than Dallas now. :)

I think the best school district which is safe and has large desi population is Bethany (Look for Findley Elementary, Jacob Wismer, Rock Creek, Bonny Slope Elementary etc). It is an expensive area for housing (compared to Dallas but not to Bay Area)

Thanks Durga. Besides schools are there any other drawbacks to living in Portland area?

Compared to Portland, i would prefer Dallas, Tx if you are specifically looking for kids schooling. Coz, i have moved to Portland last year and i dont think the specifig options you have suits Portland area much. its my view.
