My wife,Abha,and I are weighing options of cities to move to..Portland is way up on the top...we have lived on Long Island,NY for about twenty years. Pros and Cons are what we are angling for.
Prosmuch cheaper housing than NY. Affordable cost of livingGood public schoolsDoes not snow a lot like in NY ConsRains quite a bit Smaller city feel when compared to NYFewer things to do when compared to NY- this depends on what kinds of activities you like. If you like nature, hiking, biking you will love it here
