Again depending on how old your kids are. If they are high school age, we have found Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego to be good for our kids. But Lake Oswego has far fewer Indians than Hillsboro and is quite far from there.
Depending on how old your kids are, there are different areas. Forest Park area in Portland is very good. You can also consider Bethany area if your kids are in Elemnetary school. We moved here 9 months ago, and I was struggling on the same issues. Feel free to contact for any help.
