Raj K. 5/9/2010 Member of LAIndian.com City: Los Angeles	Hello I am moving from California to Portland in next 2 months and would like to know the following.1) What is the Best Elementary schools(3rd and 1st Grade) in and around Portland area, I will be working in Portland Downtown, I am willing to commute longer for better schools if need me. Are there any school boundaries where you need to stay close to school for attending it.2) I never been to Portland, but heard that weather is gloomy and can be difficult transition and adjustment for especially for folks who are use to dry weather like me, I have been in California all along for last 10 years.Does anyone have similiar experiance?Thanks and Appreicate your feedback.Raj Post Response Add To Favorite Total Replies: 1

Raj K. 5/20/2010 Member of LAIndian.com City: Los Angeles	All, Can you please help with your suggestion for best schools.I did research on the web for Elementary schools(for 3rd Grade, 1st Grade) and found that Some schools in Lake Oswego(LO), in Portland, Beaverton seems to be good. Best Schools seems to be in LO(Palisades Elementary School,Lake Grove Elementary School,Uplands Elementary School).So i will have to stay closer to these school Boundaries so they can go to those schools.I am not going to buy a home, so I will have to rent a 3 BR house or Townhome or Apartment.So my questions are1) Do you have any input for my assessment on schools for Beaverton, Lake Oswego2) How will be the commute from LO to Downtown and Beaverton to Downtown. What is recommended(Train, Car?)3) Can you recommend what is the best way to find rental in addition to looking at Forrent.com
